Giving candidates a chance to see what working with us is like.
I have a pretty unique story at Clipboard Health. I initially joined in 2021 after graduating from college, before deciding to leave the company at the end of 2022. I’m writing this blog post because, well, I’m back at the company. Candidates who I interview will often ask me what made me decide to come back to Clipboard.
The full story is complicated (which is what makes the question so good). A key ingredient in all my answers, though, is that this is a special team. I’ve met so many smart and kind individuals here and they improve my thinking every day. That’s part of why we’re so hardcore about how and who we hire.
We recognize our current hiring process doesn’t go far enough to show candidates who we are and how we do things. We want to change this, for good, which is why we hosted our first Super Weekend. We gave college seniors and new grads a chance to meet us in person, over the course of a weekend in New York.

We want to give candidates a chance to touch reality. That doesn’t just mean doing one of our case studies. We want you to meet our customers, learn about how we solve problems, and see what makes this team so special.

You’re probably wondering what the upshot of all of this is. When I decided to come back to CBH, I did so clear-eyed, knowing what working here is like. We want to give you an approximation of that.
After our first super weekend, we sent an offer to one of the nine individuals we had in attendance within a week. The rest all went to the final stages of our process, and it’s likely that we’ll extend offers to a few more folks by the time of our next super weekend.

We were so delighted by the response to our first Super Weekend that we’ve internally committed ourselves to doing one every two months for the foreseeable future. If you want a weekend where you get to eat great food, meet team members and work on real world problems then I highly recommend you apply to our next super weekend. You shouldn’t worry about working on a case only for the position to be gone, we’re growing fast and will hire as many smart driven people as we find.
